MTS swings to RAS net profit of 12.1 bln rbl in Jan–Mar
MOSCOW, May 11 (PRIME) -- Mobile operator MTS posted a net profit of 12.101 billion rubles in January–March against a 95.879 million ruble net loss in the same period a year earlier, as calculated under Russian Accounting Standards (RAS), the company said on Thursday in a statement.
Revenue rose by 5.4% to 99.34 billion rubles. The gross profit increased by 6.7% to 50.748 billion rubles, while the sales profit fell by 7.1% to 20.442 billion rubles.
The pretax profit rocketed by 99.9% to 13.139 billion rubles.
MTS’ long-term liabilities amounted to 587.406 billion rubles as of March 31, and its short-term liabilities reached 280.255 billion rubles.
